TELO’S JOURNAL

Gathered round the warm glow of a big red diode, it’s tough not to think we might be getting close to something big. Stan was certain that hidden in these tangled jungles of cabling there were bits of strange junk that wasn’t exactly what you’d call normal. He said if I wanted answers to my questions, the best place to start was where no one else wanted to go — and that just happened to be deep in the hovels of those wild places few bothered exploring. I was willing. Grim less so. And Stan had nothing to lose.

MEZZAVERSE BETA / CHAPTER ONE

[Everyone is gathered around the dim glow of a red LED. Telo is resting on a large-ish resistor bent over nearby. Stan has seemingly just returned from a bit of a scouting mission towards some unknown destination.]

TELO: And? Did you find it?

STAN: Yeah, but… …it’s not gonna be an easy walk. There’s loose wires everywhere.

8R4D’s Journal

Welcome to MEZZAVERSE BETA. I’ve wanted to put together a story-sized comic adventure for a while now, and this is it. But I’ll warn you before you even get going. It’s not really intended to be funny. Of course there will be some dramatic humour that pops up here and there. It’s just my personality seeping out from between the real work. But yeah… not really funny. Instead, think of it more of a serious story, a glimpse at an odd little world where things are not exactly as they are here, but somewhere that might be, could be, sort-of possibly could exist if we imagined hard enough. And those kinds of places are not necessarily kind to the critters that live there.

MEZZAVERSE BETA is going to kick off with a bit of an origin story, so hold on and keep up.
